MSIX app attach Azure portal integration public preview
I'm quite stuck and confused.
In order to test this MSIX App Attach my hostpool has to be in a validation environment HOWEVER when put in this mode it downloads this WVD AGENT 1.0.2839.400 which almost immediately breaks my host into Unavailable and that seems to prevent other parts of this from working stating that the Hostpool doesn't have any available VMs
Well I put my hostpool back into non-validation environment and rebooted my SessionHosts and VIOLA they downloaded WVD AGENT v1.0.2800.2700 and the SessionHosts are now available.
Can someone explain how this is supposed to work if its required to be in validation but validation then breaks the SessionHosts availability?
Not exactly the same problem, but also a bug with the new agent. I get a "needs assistance" error. When I restart, the SH is available again. After a while, however, it falls back into the status "needs assistance". If the agent is then downgraded to the previous version after the environment has been moved from validation to production, everything is OK.
In the "needs assistance" state, no more MSIX packages can be added.
Interesting. I've not seen that status.

OK, Definitely not the same. The update seems to work, but the SH falls on the status "Needs Assistance".
My problem is that in this state, I can no longer add MSIX packages to the host pool. If I reboot the SH, then I can import MSIX packages.
Now I am not sure whether the same reason the MSIX's are not connected for the user. VHD's are still attached.
Why is the Application not correctly attached for the User?Tier 3 MSFT Engineer advised that there is a known issue with the WVD Agent version I am working with. However the fix is to downgrade the agent, but because of validation mode and it auto updating it can't be done. So its been escalated to the Product Group.
