Mouse pointer disappearing over Word/Excel/Outlook in AVD
Hi We are seeing a strange issue on a bunch of session hosts where user over certain apps cannot see the mouse pointer in their full screen AVD sessions. Session hosts are running Windows 10 ...
Would suggest this:
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Ensure that all client machines have the latest graphics drivers installed.
Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration in Office Apps:
- Open any Office app (e.g., Word or Excel).
- Go to File > Options > Advanced > Display.
- Check the box for Disable hardware graphics acceleration and restart the app.
Adjust RDP Settings:
- On the client machine, open the Remote Desktop Connection app.
- Go to Show Options > Experience and uncheck Persistent bitmap caching.
- Under Local Resources > Mouse, ensure that pointer shadow is disabled.
Check AVD Host Pool Settings:
- Verify that the session hosts are configured correctly and that no policies are interfering with pointer visibility.
- Ensure that the session hosts are running the latest updates and patches.
Test with Different Clients:
- If possible, test the AVD sessions on different client devices or operating systems to see if the issue persists.
