Microsoft Remote Desktop Client crashes when connecting

In our case, the culprit was TSScan and/or TSPrint, which we had installed due to some other Remote Desktop hosting provider.
This fixed it for us today after removing those apps. Any workarounds found to keep them installed and not conflicting?
