Seems several reports already, with the latest Remote Desktop client on Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (version 1607). The problem seems to arise with versions 1.2.6186 and later, where the application fails to launch without any error messages.
May suggest rolling back to the stable version at this moment.
