Issues with FSLogix Profiles on Win11 25H2 Multiuser sessionhost's
Hey guys
we have currently lot of issues with AVD and FSLogix 26.01. There seems to be an issue that the profile container isnt't unmounted correctly. We have lot's of users who are not able to login correctly because the profile can't be mounted because its already in use by another process.
I'm currently looking what could cause that. We use a Azure files storage were i don't see any issues. It looks like a process within the userprofile is blocking the unload of the profile.
Should i be able to see in the logs of FSLogix which process is causing this. Or what is a effective way to troubleshoot that?
Thanks for any help
Best regards
Marc

According to Microsoft’s official guidance, FSLogix profile containers may occasionally fail to unmount when processes within the user profile continue to hold active file handles. This condition can result in subsequent login failures, as the profile is flagged as “already in use.” Comprehensive troubleshooting procedures and related documentation are available in the FSLogix troubleshooting and known issues sections of Microsoft Learn.

Hey Kidd_Ip
thanks for your feedback. We were able to identify 2 issues:
- The users didn't had read access to the redirection.xml file -> fixed
- I see that the users are logged out by the system due to inactivity and Outlook has still open a tmp file which prevents the local profile to be deleted successfully
We removed the Inetcache Folder from the redirection.xml but i'm not sure if that is solving my issue like this.
Best regards
