Hostpool BCDR
Hi
Hopefully someone can answer what should be a simple question , however the documentation does not appear to address this.
scenario
If I have a AVD hostpool (Personal) hosted in say the Central US region, and I am using Site recovery to replicate to say US West.
Central US is where my hostpool resource group is located containing the hostpool, Application DAG and workspace resources)
I am planning to use site recovery between the two regions.
Question
If the Central US region was to go down (and remain down) and a site recovery failover to US West was initiated will the hostpool still exist to recovery the VM's into or will they be orphaned from the hostpool?
The documentation is very vague around this.
TIA
Martin
- tommykneetzIron ContributorHI - yes you need to have hostpool and app groups and workspaces in place on your 2nd site..
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/disaster-recovery#vm-replication
" you'll only need to set up one host pool and its related app groups and workspaces."
