Financial apps (Accpac) on WVD

Hi All,

This is more of a question rather than a discussion.
Currently my client is running Accpac on a single Citrix Server and we have enabled both Desktop version so they can open the Virtual Desktop or can simply launch the Accpac app on the browser after login to Citrix.
Accpac has a separate DB server.
Over the time they've experienced many issues and in connectivity and other factors and because they are not using the fully fledged features of Citrix, they are thinking of moving Accpac on to WVD.

I've seen in many articles how experts explains on publishing apps to WVD environment.

However my issue is, since Accpac holds a SQL DB apart from the App, is there a way to publish it via WVD? Also if so where are the app files and DBs are getting installed to?

I would maybe also ask if ODBC connections can be configured/pre-configured/saved as that's the key part

If you can share your knowledge that would be wonderful.

shehanjp: the concept is similar to Citrix. You define your VM image yourselves and need to ensure you fulfil the prerequisites for the application.

    If the hostpool needs inbound SQL connections you might want to look into hybrid connectivity options, such as:
    - Data Gateway
    - VPN
