Just create a scheduled task and call a powershell script:
Remove-Item -Path HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SyncRootManager\* -Recurse

I'm curious, did you ever get an update as to when or if the issue was resolved? It's early December.
We still have a case open but it’s doubtful that we will get an update this month. OneDrive team has engaged the Explorer team for additional analysis.
Unfortunately no official information but our customer told us that is running much faster. The Case is closed and i will not be informed
