File Explorer is slow when traversing files synced with OneDrive
I had a call with them yesterday and they said to log a new ticket with the Windows team... Why oh why does Microsoft not have the ability to triage to different teams? You'd also think that the OneDrive team would be the ones looking into it...
Let me know if you make any progress.

What version of OneDrive is everyone using that is having this issue? We used 24.156.0804.0002 version and issues were resolved. OneDrive Product Group has an ICM to investigate and correct the issue.
Have you tried Deferred Ring 24.132.0701.0002 or 24.070.0407.0003 or Production Ring 24.161.0811.0001 ?

Uninstall OneDrive
Add Host File Entry to block updates from oneclient.sfx.ms
Install OneDrive version 24.156.0804.0002 OneDriveSetup.exe /allusers
Verify version is still 24.156.0804.0002- Sebastian2290Sep 22, 2024Copper Contributor
Wise_1 I have
OneDrive-Version: Build 24.171.0825.0002 (64-Bit)
I don't really understand how that is higher than the latest version on the page you provided. I just installed whatever I found through a web search, assuming it would download the right version anyway...
I'm not on AVD (many people report this issue on local systems as well), so I can't block updates or something. I'm on a corporate machine.

I'm assuming the release notes just haven't been updated. Use the deferred or one of the older versions, but block up the automatic updates.
Set 127.0.0.1 oneclient.sfx.ms in the host file on a couple of computers to block and test it out. You could also try setting the ring to 0 for deferred, but we had mixed results with OneDrive getting upgraded.
Enabling this policy sets the following registry key:
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive]"GPOSetUpdateRing"=dword:0000000X
Set the value 4 for Insider, 5 for Production, or 0 for Deferred. When you configure this setting to 5 for Production, or 0 for Deferred
