Exiting fullscreen using Excel in Remote Desktop

Is it possible to turn "ESC to exit fullscreen" off when working in Virtual Desktop?

This function conflicts terribly with Excel workflows where ESC is used all the time.

I need to reclaim the screen realestate and work in fullscreen without being kicked out every time I exit a cell in Excel.

I've checked Edge DevTools for a solution, however, I don't think it's an Edge issue, I think it's specific to Azure.
