ConnectionFailedOrchestrationFailureUnexpectedError (-2147024894)

I had one host in a pool last night show this error.

I have been unable to find a reasonable explanation of this error so far as to how/why this happened.

Does the fact that the kind of error listed as Service mean this was the AVD service itself or was it the one host that was affected?

Thanks

    Hi mafrankenfield,

The error code ConnectionFailedOrchestrationFailureUnexpectedError (-2147024894) that you are experiencing is associated with the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) service.
This error message indicates a failure in the orchestration process, responsible for coordinating and managing various components of the AVD service.

The categorization of the error under "Service" implies that it pertains to the AVD service as a whole rather than a specific host.
However, it's also possible that the issue might be confined to a single host within the pool, especially if other hosts in the same pool are not encountering the same error.

Multiple factors could contribute to this error, such as a problem on the broker prompting the agent to stop the service, issues with updates, or disruptions during agent installation affecting the connection to the session host.

To troubleshoot this matter, you can examine the event logs on your session host virtual machines (VMs) by navigating to Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application.
Look for events from sources like WVD-Agent, WVD-Agent-Updater, RDAgentBootLoader, or MsiInstaller to pinpoint the specific issue.
