AVD with HP ThinPro (linux) no webcam in MS Teams
we are back on Thinpro 8.1 as well and started to discover issues with camera and audio redirection this week. even with a new win11 multiuser image with just FSLogix and WebRTC we are not able to have the webcam redirected. Neither in Teams nor in the Browser or Camera app.
when i try it with a notebook or a igelos on the same hardware everything is working just fine.
does anybody have a good advise how to troubleshoot?

marc_kuhn We identified an issue with the settings for the connection. If you disable the bottom option on the settings page which I think is something like 'use hardware acceleration' then this fixes some of the issues.
Hi CarlosPérez, at the local resources of the AVD Connection we activated all but not local hardware-videocoding. It is very important, that you have installed the WebRTC-Redirector at the AVD-Client on Azure. Unfortunately, HP ThinPro uses not the newest drivers, given from Microsoft for AVD. You will bring it to run, but for professional use it is not preferred.
Hi guys, I´m trying to homologate HP ThinClient with ThinPRrp (linux), and having some issues with webcam redirection. It works fine when connecting from laptop, but not from ThinClient (all is up to date). Could you share how "AVD Connection" is configured?
- Nope, Igel doesn't do any hardware anymore. We are still using HP Thinclients t630, t640 and t655.
Also you don't need to install an UMS server if you just want to test with one Thinclient. You can install the IgelOS and have 30 days to test everything. You just need to configure it on the device itself. But for your first test it's probably enough.
Btw, why didn't you took the IgelOS 12? - ... did you change hardware from HP to ... ?

we are using the latest version which is i think v12.05.110.
We have a nice contact from Igel which i can probably send you if you are interested.

in the meantime I had tested a Lenovo ThinClient with the Igel UMS software 11.10.100. We had the same errors as with ThinPro. Which version are you using? - Hey Thomas
we definitly switch from HP to Igel, as it seems that the pace for the AVD Client is too fast for HP. We can't afford such issues. With Igel everything is working just we expect. Even redirect a new camera which is plugged in when the session is already started is working like a charm 👍. So for us it's worth to spend the money there and save the troubleshooting afterwards Hello, thanks, we tested your "developer"-software. It has really improved. However, we still have problems with sessions that have more than one participant. The session then hangs or breaks off completely. NewTeams version 24137 is now installed in the master and the latest fslogix is also used.

marc_kuhn wow, that's great. You have a better connection to HP-support. Where can i get the AVD app to test? At the HP Update Center there is no new app for AVD.
- We received yesterday a new avd app, which isn't published currently. That really fixed a lot of topics, we had to switch off the hardware option as well.

Actually, we had an intensive testing yesterday also with HP and currently this isn't performing compared to IgelOS, so we probably switch in the last minute to Igel to avoid big trouble. Thanks a lot!! - Hi, last week i had a talk to a microsoft-engineer. He told me, that micrsoft gives the companies which deliver thinclient-software AVD-sdk's with the newest software. Igel and DELL(wise) integrated this in a relative short timeline. For HP-ThinPro, the newest avd-client is from january with an old AVD-sdk. I know this problematic things about teams. If you have meetings with more than one member, you get no stream and other things don't run. It is important, that HP includes the newest SDK 1.2.5454 from Microsoft, that has a lot of problems eliminated.
