ADV not displaying on selected screens
- Jan 14, 2024
We have seen this issue a few times over the last week or so. I have found a work around which fixes it for now. Ensure all monitors are set to 100% scaling and then disable the 'fit session to window" option in the Azure Virtual Desktop App
This should fix it up for now until Microsoft release a fix, likely an update that caused this.
ryan_guiles Similar issues showed up for me recently, presumably after an update.
I have 3 monitors. 2 (left and middle) are 2560x1440, the 3rd is 4k.
I can get the Windows app to display full screen on all 3 monitors or 1 single monitor. If I try to get it to display full screen on the 2 1440p monitors (left and middle), it fits horizontally, but is off the top of the screens, with a gap along the bottom. If I try to get it to display on my primary (1440p) and 4k screen (middle and right) it maximises to the left screen, the middle screen and half of the right screen.

It worked perfectly until recently.

Joel_Collie710 Thanks, this somewhat works.
It isn't ideal, as a 27" 4K monitor is hard to use at 100% scaling.
Also, it only works if I launch the sessions on the 2 monitors (as shown in your screenshot). previously, I could check the "maximize to current displays" option, drag the window across whichever 2 monitors I wanted and then maximise and it would work. This still doesn't work, even on 100% scaling.- Joel_Collie710Jan 15, 2024Copper Contributor
I agree, it is definitely not ideal. Another reply has mentioned uninstalling the recent update and reverting to 1.2.4763.0. If possible you can try this, however if the device is domain joined and updates are controlled via the organisation this may not work.
