Adobe Reader in AVD Environment
We have a strange issue with Adobe Reader in an AVD Environment, randomly, and I guess the Adobe Orchestrator service is doing this, Adobe Creative Cloud gets installed. We haven't pin pointed what the trigger is but its happening at two sites who use AVD. Can go for weeks and not happen, then it gets installed spiking the CPU. Users are somehow instigating it within Adobe and Adobe is installing it.
Anyone else come across this?
We can't really stop Adobe self updating as we need to keep things up to date to pass security.
Thanks

KevHal Even worse -- a non-admin user was able to sign into Adobe and then trigger the rest of the users on the machine to require licensing. My user installed the extra features that licensing provides and now everyone else cannot use Adobe Acrobat as a reader.
This unified installer is garbage if I can't prevent this issue.
Any endpoint protection we may need to be aware of?

Hi KevHal,
None of my AVD environments have this strange issue. Do one or more users use an account with an Acrobat Pro license?
I would recommend creating an Adobe support case.
Possibly the issue can be fixed by adding or modifing a regkey in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC".

If you only use Adobe Reader, you can try using the built-in PDF engine integration in Microsoft Edge.
