can we change or create customerdb.database.windows.net to customerdb.customer.com
can we change or create customerdb.database.windows.net to customerdb.customer.com or any suggestion to do that or any road map from the Microsoft Azure team?
No, you can't rename customerdb.database.windows.net to customerdb.customer.com directly. But you can create a CNAME record in your DNS to point customerdb.customer.com to the Azure SQL endpoint. It helps with branding, but connection strings still use the original Azure domain. Microsoft does not currently support custom domain names for Azure SQL.
