Snowflake and vnet

Hi Folks,

I'm really keen to use Purview with snowflake and am finding the drip feed of features a bit frustrating. After waiting for data quality in snowflake, it turns out that it doesn't (yet) work with vNet's. This is necessary for my setup unless a fixed IP address for Purview is possible without a vNet / IR?

As a user allowing administrators to configure / reuse the same connection(s) defined in data map (which do work with a vNet and snowflake) in the unified catalogue would be a better user experience.

Is this on the roadmap? if so, when is it likely to drop?

James

    Just following up on this. We need to shift away from basic auth still but cannot see any solution for this yet - could someone assist with this? We are in EU west.

  • Hello jamesgiop,

    Private endpoints and vNet availability for Data Quality is in the roadmap. Refer to: MS-Purview-Data-Governance-Roadmap-detailed.pdf

    "As a data quality steward, I can measure and monitor data quality of my data stored in
    vNetstorage (Snowflake, and Databricks UC)"

    Expected to be in public preview/GA by Q2 this calendar year.

      Thanks - I've seen that there is now a managed vnet checkbox at the bottom of the connection page, however this is greyed out ;

      Any ideas when this will be enabled in EU West?
