Retention Policies - Emails

Hello.

I need help automating my email retention policy.

The goal is to create 4 security groups and create adaptive scopes for each security group and apply retention policies depending on the security group. For example SG-1year members of this group will apply 1 year retention policies, I need to know if anyone already does this and how they implemented this solution.

I've thought about creating policies depending on departments and functions, but there are members with different policies

Does anyone have another solution for implementing retention policies?
