Question about endpoint DLP support for paste actions on non-web browsers

Referencing the article posted below by Shilpa Bothra in June of this year. 

As of right now, agent DLP support for "paste actions" is limited to supported web browsers on Windows. Does Microsoft plan to expand support to applications that are not a web browser, such as IDEs?
