Purview DLP Policy Not Triggering Alerts Despite Being Enabled on Devices
Hello everyone,
I have configured a DLP policy in Microsoft Purview for our devices. The DLP status shows as enabled on the device, but when I perform an activity that should trigger the policy, no alert is generated.
I have verified the policy settings and ensured that the device is correctly onboarded. However, the expected DLP action is not being enforced.
Attached is a screenshot of the device status confirming that DLP is enabled. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be helpful.
Thanks!

Use the troubleshooting page in Edge to verify that the DLP policy is applied correctly on your device. Go to this URL with Edge:

Hi nikunjbhatt_cds!
I had a similar issue before, and in my case, it turned out to be a small misconfiguration in the policy targeting. It’s worth checking if the policy is applied to the right locations or actions that should trigger the alert. Sometimes, the DLP settings may not cover all the areas you expect.
Also, ensure the device is fully up to date and the Purview agent is properly synced. If everything looks good there, try forcing a policy update or check the activity logs to see if anything is blocking the alert.
Finally you might also want to review the specific conditions in your policy to make sure it matches the action you're testing.
I hope it gives you some more ideas on fixing this issue.
Regards!
