I have had to separate out my policies for OneDrive and SharePoint because of the difference in user experience.
When I created the OneDrive policy, it worked as expected - policy tip and greyed out the share functionality. However for SharePoint, still encountering issues where it allows a user to share but also alerts me as an admin that there has been an alert.
SharePoint has been alerting even if the user doesn't 'actively' share a file, for example, they duplicate a historic one and that has been difficult to manage.
