Data Product Lineage not automatic
Hi all i am new in Purview and I am trying to create a lineage with a Report--> Dataset--> Tables in Data Products however after adding report only dataset is shown, how can I view all tables of this dataset.
Only when I press open in fabric the Dataset the table list appears, how can I give permissions

Hi David,
Two things to note:
- Table-level lineage isn't automatic for most datasets — Purview shows item-level lineage (Dataflow → Dataset → Report), but table/column-level detail only works if the source is Azure SQL Database. Other sources won't expand tables in the graph.
- The table list under "Open in Fabric" is controlled by Fabric workspace permissions, not Purview. To grant access, set roles at the workspace level or via "Manage permissions" on the semantic model itself.
You are seeing the report and semantic model in Purview, but the table-level lineage visible inside Fabric is not being expanded automatically in the Data Product view. First confirm that the Fabric tenant is registered in the same Purview account, its latest scan completed successfully, and relevant workspaces are included. Also verify that your account can inspect the semantic model and its sources in Fabric. Permissions, however, cannot create lineage edges that the Purview connector does not ingest. Microsoft currently documents limitations around subitem metadata and lineage in parts of the Fabric integration, so report-to-model lineage may be available while model-to-table details remain visible only in Fabric. Compare the asset source and last scan time, then test with a newly refreshed model. If the tables still do not appear, treat this as a connector capability boundary and open a Purview support case with the asset IDs and scan run ID.

Hi,
- Fabric tenant is registered in the same Purview account -->OK
2. I can view semantic model and sources in Fabric -->OK
Scan is correct but in the scan advanced setting there is no fabric or powerbi option for enabling column level permissions ... any idea on where to create case
Do I create case here in ediscovery
