Why RRAS feature not supported in Azure VM?

Hi,

I found this article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2721672/microsoft-server-software-support-for-microsoft-azure-virtual-machines) which says RRAS feature is not supported in Azure VM but If I recall somewhere 2017 this feature was supported and I was able to configure RRAS successfully in one of my Azure VM. 

I would like to know the reason behind NOT Supporting RRAS feature in Azure VM?

    Why do you need RRAS? Isn't there an Azure Service that can cover your needs?
    Probably RRAS is not supported for networking compatibility reason, Azure use network virtualization as a backend of the VM.
