Unable to access Azure Portal with my Microsoft Account

Hello,

I would like to request assistance regarding an issue with my Microsoft Account.

My Microsoft account email address removed for privacy reasons is currently unable to properly sign into Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com/). Every time I log in, it keeps showing error messages related to tenant access, and I cannot perform any normal operation inside Azure. It does not allow me to proceed, create resources, or even navigate the portal pages.

Since this account is the one I planned to use for my Power Platform / Developer environment setup, this issue is now blocking all further development work.

Could you please help me check the tenant status of this account, and fix the access issue so that I can properly use Azure Portal again?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Best regards

The suggestions about switching directories and checking tenant associations are a good starting point. If the issue persists after verifying the correct tenant and account, Microsoft Support should be able to investigate whether there's an account or tenant provisioning problem on the backend.

  • First confirm the correct directory is selected in the portal account menu, or try a direct tenant URL if you know the tenant ID. If the account can sign in but shows tenant/subscription errors, it may not have access to any subscription in that directory and needs to be added by an owner/admin. If it is a backend account/subscription issue, open Azure billing or sign-in support.

  • hi Lak please check below

Switched directory in the Azure Portal

Click on your profile (top right corner) → Switch directory

Selected the right tenant or removed the ones that were no longer valid.

This fixed the “stuck in wrong tenant” problem.

    Checked Azure account associations

    Went to https://account.azure.com/organizations

Reviewed linked directories and removed old or deleted ones.

Used the direct MSA Azure Portal

If you’re using a personal Microsoft Account, try logging in from

    https://portal.azure.com/#home/ms-account

This uses the correct authentication flow for MSAs.

If no valid tenant existed, I created a new one via:

Azure Active Directory → Manage Tenants → Create new tenant.

After doing the above, I was able to access the portal normally again.

If these steps don’t help, you can open a free Azure sign-in support ticket here:
