Question about the Azure Recommendations API

The documentation says that the Azure Recommendations API will end by february 2018:

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/services/cognitive-services/recommendations/

Does this mean that the Recommendations API will no longer be available by then? So that the Recommendations solution template will be the only option left?

I really would like to hear more, thanks!
