Not able to create resources in South Africa West
I am not able to create any resources in South Africa West. I cannot even see the region in the list on Azure. Any idea ?
I would really appreciate an answer on this question. Will it ever come back?

I opened a support ticket with MS and this is what they mentioned to me last year.
" Our two Azure regions in South Africa offer differentiated offerings for our customers. South Africa North is available for customer deployments and resources in this region can be paired with the geographically separated South Africa West for regional disaster recovery while maintaining data residency requirements.
Customers are not able to deploy standalone resources into South Africa West but are able to replicate their own data to South Africa West via geo-redundant storage options in the Azure portal. "
