Azure RDP VM Screen Resolution Problem

Hi,

 

When I remote to Azure VM, the screen resolution is very big and I am not able to change the settings. There is this message "The display settings can't be changed from a remote session."

 

 

I did searched through some forums to find solutions. There is this saying need to modify two registry values. Too bad my registry does not have the two registry values stated:

    

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\GUID\0000\DefaultSettings.XResolution
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\GUID\0000\DefaultSettings.YResolution

 

Therefore, would like to seek for help to solve this problem. The problem I am facing now is the screen too big and when I am trying to install programs, I am not able to view the 'Next' button.

      Hi,

       

      The problem is solved now and I didn't do anything to it. The Azure VM is scheduled to shut down every night and when I remote to the VM this morning, the screen resolution has changed to the normal size. :)
