Azure Database for MySQL and Wordpress
Have been working through this tutorial - https://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/Seth-Juarez/Introduction-to-WordPress-using-Azure-PaaS
But everytime I follow the instructions as per the video my site doesn't load. Am getting an "error estabilishing a database connection".
Anyone had the same issues?

I see the question is a couple of weeks old, but this is where I ended searching for an answer to the same problem so thought I'd post my solution if anyone else has the same problem.
I had to disable the "Enforce SSL connection" found under "Connection secrity" to make my WordPress connect to the database.

in the market place you can choose to deploy wordpress using templates.
Its just a few clicks, and you have the option of hosting the Database in the webapp service plan.
