ASR cache - Do I need all these Page Blob

I was looking through one of my Storage Account designated as my ASR Cache and noticed that I had a large number of 128MB page blobs.

The storage account has approximately 5522 page blobs each at 128MB in size.

The blobs seem to be several months old, can I safely delete these Page Blobs in the ASR Cache?

I don't think I realistically need over a month of App / Crash consistent snapshots.

Is there a useful document detailing the specifics of how Azure to Azure ASR works and what these Page blobs in the ASR cache may be and if they are safe to remove ?
