A question about migrate account
Hi all, We have a hybrid join AAD, we need to migrate a colleague‘s account from A account to B accont, I think two way but I don't know which method is feasible: 1 Directly changing the account...
Consider the below:
- Directly Changing the Account Name:
- Pros: This method is simpler and quicker. The user's OneDrive and Exchange accounts will automatically update to reflect the new account name, preserving all existing data and settings.
- Cons: There might be some temporary disruptions as the changes propagate through the system. Additionally, if there are any issues with the name change, it could affect access to resources.
- Creating a New Account and Moving Data:
- Pros: This method ensures a clean slate for the new account, which can be beneficial if there were any issues with the old account. It also allows for a more controlled migration of data.
- Cons: This process is more time-consuming and complex. You'll need to manually migrate OneDrive and Exchange data, which can be prone to errors and data loss if not done carefully.
