Viva Insights query results language shows words in Spanish with garbled characters

Does anyone know if there's a way to avoid query results showing Spanish words with accents like in the screenshot below? I noticed Spanish is not in the list of Supported languages for phrases in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/tutorials/meeting-exclusion-concept#supported-languages and I'm wondering if that may be the cause? This also happens with one of the columns containing a metric name from the query. Could this be because letters with Spanish accent like "ó" are considered non-Latin-character set text as mentioned in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/use/view-download-and-export-query-results?branch=pas-pd-other-char-sets#supported-languages-for-column-headers?
