microsoft office error "operating system is not presently configured to run this application"

I had to revert back to windows 8 after being on 8.1 and reinstalled office, but now I can't use any office programs.

    Is there an easy way to fix this or do I need to cold install windows 10.  Any help would be appreciated.Bryman

      Oh, ok it's the office 2013 version.  I guess I should try to contact Microsoft Office support by phone.  I thought because it had an error code that it might be something simple. Well thanks for the help!Bryman

      I don't think anyone can answer that as we don't know the reasons why Office is no longer working in Windows 8. Perhaps it would help to know which version of Office you were using?

      For info, I still have multiple VMs running versions of Office such as 2003/2007/2010/2013 under Windows 7. I don't use Win8
