Load Form filtered to only show Max Date for each item to start.

Good Morning,

I have a table with a large list of transactions.  I want my split form to open with the table filtered to show only the maximum date for each item.

The trick is the split form MUST remain editable at all times.

I know that if I filter the source data using vba, if the source data is editable, the form should be able to remain editable. 

But how to program the filter using vba is where I am struggling
