I need help figuring out why excel keeps showing an error.

I am trying to use excel on a laptop I just got today, and for my worksheet I need to import data from a Microsoft Access Database. Whenever I go to import, it brings up an error message saying my operating system is not configured for that app. I was with a support tech for the last like hour and a half. We didn't figure it out, would appreciate any insight.

Please keep in mind I've only had a macbook for the past few years, so the whole pc/windows scene is very new to me. I have no clue what i'm doing.
