Why audio low when audio enhancements are active?
My audio sounds really low when I have this activated. I didn't have the problem for a while and it has started only recently. The sound is just bad and low when I have this actived. Is there a way to just deactivate this forever.

Did this happen after system update?

the extensions are normally controlled in a driver helper app (for Realtek it would be "Realtek Audio Console"). perhaps some equalizer setting is wrong?

I think you can check in sound settings for audio enhancements and disable those functions there for specific device on "Enhancements" tab, to further change the enhancements on specific device in Windows. Not sure how it works as I haven't tried it myself.
As suggested previously updating all drivers, not only audio drivers actually, might help. Especially updating your motherboard drivers including BIOS and audio drivers with it. Have you recently updated audio driver or install some updates? You could use System Restore feature to restore back when it was working.

Update your audio drivers from the manufacturer’s website (like Realtek, Cirrus Logic, etc.). Sometimes, driver updates fix bugs with enhancements.
