Is it necessary to upgrade to Windows 11 for an i7-9700K + RTX 2080 Super configuration?
Hello everyone, my current setup includes an Intel Core i7-9700K processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super graphics card. My primary use is gaming, and I'm unsure whether upgrading to Windows 11 would enhance my gaming experience or improve compatibility.

Your i7-9700K and RTX 2080 Super are still very solid for gaming, and Windows 10 will run most titles just fine. Upgrading to Windows 11 isn’t strictly necessary unless you want features like DirectStorage or AutoHDR, which some newer games may benefit from. Performance differences between Windows 10 and 11 are minimal in most cases, so it really comes down to preference. If you’re more focused on classics like Tekken 3, you don’t need to worry about the OS — there are safe resources like tekan3apk.com that let you enjoy them smoothly.

This hardware specs is still decent in 2025. No need for an upgrade unless you are playing high FPS games.

The i7-9700K + RTX 2080S system is upgradeable to Windows 11 (requires enabling TPM 2.0/UEFI Secure Boot), but Windows 10 support extends until October 2025, so upgrading can be postponed for now.
