Cutting the wire without cutting the audio quality
It still seems like the manufacturers are working on the drivers.
I have tried using the ASUS BT-540 (Realtek chipset) and ASUS ROG Ally X (MediaTek chipset), but both don't show the "Format when microphone is active" setting.
However while using the hardware FlooGoo FMA120 to connect to 2 different Bluetooth LE Audio devices:
- Avantree AS70P receiver <- Negotiates 32Khz Mono (Technically I can get it working at 48Khz Stereo using aptX Lite, but my focus is on Windows's LC3 support)
- Creative Zen Hybrid Pro <- Negotiates 32Khz Stereo
Based on this, does this mean that even if I do get the driver updates, will the Avantree AS70P receiver still only negotiate 32Khz Mono through Windows 11?
I assume that the Avantree AS70P isn't advertising 32Khz Stereo. Must I contact Avantree to ask if they can do a firmware update?
Lastly, let's say a device advertises:
- 48Khz Stereo playback and 16Khz Mono mic input
- 32Khz Mono playback and 32Khz Mono mic input
With the new update will the 48Khz mode be available or will Windows skip that mode and fall back to 32Khz Mono?
