wroot Nope: if you install 1903 in april 2019 & set deferral to 365 days you will get a feature update as of March 2020 (365 days after 1903 has been released presuming 1903 will be released in March 2019) It won't happen immediately for everyone as MS does it progressively per region & per hardware config they feel reasonable sure about.
I did not day it counts 365 days from the last feature update installed. Where did you read that?
The 365 days deferral setting basically prevents from getting 2 feature updates a year but that's not what real world customers are after.
Presuming that participants in this thread are above average ICT administrators & looking at the confusion in their minds I can only conclude John Wilcox that MS still has a lot of explanation to do in human understandable language. I greatly depend on the Windows platform for my business and it's hard to see K12 moving over to Chromebooks -in great part- because of 1) the MS complexity , 2) as always the cost and read this well: 1) comes before 2)
