I simply do not understand why MSFT is getting rid of the Remote Desktop app in the Store before supporting RDP in the Windows app. But especially bizarre is that connecting to a Windows PC via RDP is supported in the Windows app all the non-MSFT platforms (macOS, Android, iOS, even the Meta Quest for pete's sake) but not from Windows! Why? Why is Windows machine RDP->Windows machine the one use case for which there is no support? Are there really more Meta Quest users doing RDP to Windows PCs than Windows users doing so?
I do understand that MSTSC exists, but the improved user interface of the Remote Desktop app was the whole point of the new skin. I currently have 25 separate machine/login sessions that I regularly use to RDP. The point-click selection of logins is a godsend.
For heaven's sake just wait two months, implement RDP properly in the Windows App, and then delete Remote Desktop from the Store.
