Microsoft seems to forget that their products are actually used by enterprise customers.
In the latest update, it adds a banner "notifying users that Remote Desktop will have a new name".
Like WTF? Hey MS, that is not your job on an enterprise level. We will notify users after we vet the newly crippled replacement app and do necessary training. Where is the button to permanently turn off the notification? Which policy setting disables the banner and the forthcoming "in-place" update? You are literally forcing us to disable all app updates on MacOS, even from reputable software companies, to work around your narcissism.
Better yet, quietly sunset RD and make Windows crApp a separate install. Don't let this be another MS boondoggle like allowing unprivileged domain users to "upgrade" to Windows 11.
