Users on iOS and macOS will experience an in-place update
This is scary. Typical users can have their productivity stopped by simply moving a shortcut from one side of their screen to the other. Now they'll be faced with a different (horrible) name and reduced functionality. Another case of avoiding fixing existing bugs by changing the UX, removing things, then patting yourselves on the back for creating something "new" and "fresh".
No longer being able to pin to the menu bar is a showstopper for us. Without it, there can be no update. The fact the Microsoft if forcing the update without a way to stay on the last functional version of RD is disturbing, and the main reason we avoid MS products whenever possible. Now we're stuck with spending money finding a workaround to block the forced update.
