HotCakeX , I was unaware of the DISadvantages of installing the illustrious N version. N meaning Non Media Features Pack. A version created by Microsoft due to EU rules. I hardly ever use(d) these features, as I watch my (downloaded) video collection with an alternative (vlc). Until I discovered that this feature, better not having this feature, caused trouble installing and running other software. (Among others, the CD 2019 suite).
I was not aware of these complications until I had one of my bright moments upon which I installed a dual boot, containg the regulart W10Pro on the other boot.
Problems were over! But... The N version, being primary boot and thus the environment for day-to-day use, never really updated 'newer' updates of W10!
After having spent months to find a solution on the very Wide Web, last week I stumbled upon the solution I mentioned in my previous post.
It seems to have solved all problems I ran into on my N version.
So all I can say is 'give it a try' and pass the word if it is successful for you too.
