On the recommendation to use 'Specify source service for specific classes of Windows Updates' instead of 'Do not allow update deferral policies to cause scans against Windows Update' on Windows 10 version 2004 and above and Windows 11:
If 'SetPolicyDrivenUpdateSourceForQualityUpdates' is set to WSUS on these operating systems, the installation of optional features (Optional languages .NET Framework 3.5, RSAT tools) fail with '0x800f0950' or '0x800f0954' errors (see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/703064/specify-source-service-for-specific-classes-of-win.html). This is even with 'Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair' enabled with 'Download repair content and optional features directly from Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)' turned on.
Is this a known bug? Will it be fixed?
