It is not only about end of life of a product but a way of working. When local automation improvements have worked for 20+ years and suddenly they will stop then what is the new way of working?
If it was migration from Microsoft Office to Google Suite or something then the risk and work around would be captured and worked on - a dedicated team to address the most useful and for the experienced then a rewrite in the other system’s language.
So Excel gets Scripts rolled out as part of Evergreen yet there is no replacements in Word and PowerPoint for the end of VBA. Use cases to migrate to Power Automate/Flow are not capable of working with the local level manipulations.
My question still stands about VBA replacement in other parts of Microsoft Office.
