Microsoft is making a grave mistake and putting thousands of development companies and organizations with websites and management systems using Classic ASP in crisis. Classic ASP is still used today by over a million websites; I read a figure that it accounts for between 2% and 5% of the web, and I think that IF we have to start migrating everything, it will take at least 20 years. Additionally, many applications may not be migratable. Moreover, does Microsoft realize that during the migration phase, the best choice could be PHP on Linux, which could lead to the extinction of its Web Servers? Today, there are numerous deprecated languages that continue to exist: COBOL, Fortran, Pascal, Ada, PL/I, RPG, LISP... as Legacy. Why can't Classic ASP with VBScript continue?
