Your message is warming my heart a little. I'm grateful about the initiatives you are about to take, especially relaying and spreading the petition.
In these fragile and tricky times, such a decision is one the worst Microsoft could take.
Putting so much businesses at risk. Even the national French Customs services use Classic ASP!
It is SO widely used in production in EVERY industry. Really.
This petition is only starting its way, and will eventually reach the IIS VBScript/Classic ASP team and Naveen_Shankar .
They will have to reconsider their position about Classic ASP, that must remain functional.
VBScript on desktop & command-line : Ok, we can afford to see it disappearing, and replace it with CMD and Powershell.
But Classic ASP : NO 
Yes, some folks could probably be experienced enough to develop an ASP/VBScript compiler working on Linux.
I'm ready to pay for it too and fund parts of it.
