Time has come for you to realize that deprecating VBScript is NOT a good move.
It does not help in any way in terms of security.
It will just break millions (yes, really) of big Classic ASP websites that are still running.
Your team should just use BuiltWith to get a glimpse of the huge number of publicly available Classic ASP webpages !
And this number obviously does not include the biggest part of the iceberg : the billions of pages running on intranet/extranets worldwide.
I am working for many big famous companies worldwide still using Classic ASP very widely, and this deprecation will just run them out of business.
With the though times worldwide economy is facing, putting this trial to their life will be a very bad decision.
Keeping Classic ASP and VBScript will notoberate the profit you can make in newer tehcnolologies (.NET, Powershell, and so on).
So, your team must reconsider their position, and cancel this deprecation. Really.
