FrancoisJ I'm neither crazy nor it is an issue about the clock app which was only one example.
As you are talking about using winget for years you are clearly not talking about this brand new "winget download" feature which fetches Apps from MSStore.
I totally agree that winget in general works smooth and the community behind the https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs Repository does an amazing job.
But this blog-post is NOT about community or winget-pkgs. It is about the new "winget download" Feature from MS-Store. And I don't think this is something "community developed" but microsoft-provided.
As I in detail explained Microsoft Store for Business, which was the official way for offline Downloading MS-Store-InBox-Apps, has been retired and Microsoft points to "winget download" to get offline packages now. And this works for some Apps, but not for all. And it doesn't work smooth and needs to be improved.
As I already said I will soon check if it works for all other apps which failed too.
Nice to see the Clock App for Win10 can be downloaded now, but as I explained in detail this was not an issue about just the Clock App.
Sorry if I "demand" a fix for this issue ... YES. Thats what I really do. Or provide an other way of downloading, as Store for Business retired.
Microsoft just retired Store for Business without providing other working options to continue to get this task done.
As you are writing about my "inappropriate comment" and better be thankful for volunteers providing help: Sorry, but as I can see I was not discussing this issue with somebody helping voluntary but with Microsoft employee which either have an impact on the development or at least could reach out to the right people. And I cannot see where my comments where inappropriate. I'm for sure thankful Jason_Sandys answered and tried to explain and figure out what's the problem is.
I will check out what still is broken and as Jason_Sandys kindly offered me to contact him directly I will do next week, as soon I was able to check the state of other apps.
Happy weekend,
best regards,
Gunnar
