It is a requirement set by the EU Commission that all hyperscalers, including Microsoft, need to implement. The aim is to enhance the security and privacy of user data across all applications.
I fully understand that this might cause some inconvenience initially, but the intention behind this regulation is to provide a safer digital environment for everyone, including the students at your school. Your feedback needs to be sent to the EU Commission, Microsoft did just execute what others require from them. And no, I'm not happy with that change either!
