Patrik Alvåg that is a great idea! Let me take that suggestion back to the team and see what we can do. 🙂
Petri-X I hear you! The reason I recommend this for the Microsoft Teams Rooms devices is because Microsoft actually goes and sets specific feature update policies on those devices and does so by writing registry keys. This means if you go in and set feature update policies as well, then there can be a conflict. Additionally, Microsoft only supports certain feature update versions for Microsoft Teams Rooms devices so this is the recommendation to prevent accidently updating to an unsupported feature update version. That said, I think that the feedback of considering removing the Microsoft configurations on these devices and to instead allow admins to do the testing and validation and rollout the same as all other device types is completely fair! And I will take that back to the team. 🙂
Thank you all for your feedback and reading the blog! I'm glad that you found it useful and clear. 🙂
