Hopefully this is helpful to some of you. I work at a large MSP vendor and we raised a premier support ticket with MSFT, and discovered that the titles will remain the same except they are reintroducing the year/month back to the titles. So we lose architecture, release id and product name but at least you get the dates, so a cumulative update will look like:
"2025-11 Security Update (KB5034123) (26100.4747)"
Where was this found, well after raising a costly ticket they found a tweet which stated this change, no msft didn't update this blog nor the linked document to this. Not very helpful Microsoft. Honestly - if you are going to take any feedback from this and anyone in Microsoft actually reads these comments then please communicate these changes clearly. First you don't communicate the original change until AFTER it happened to Band D updates, you only communicate via a blog - and then a subsequent change on a random tweet? The entire community which supports and keeps your software up to date on endpoints needs better communication from you.
What are we as a business supposed to do? follow every msft employee who tweets and try parse what we need?
